'Faux Text' is the newest single from Leeds/Wakefield-based 3 piece Drahla. Produced by Hookworms' MJ at his Surburban Home studio, 'Faux Text' eases you in slowly with its fuzzy bass undertones and Brown's cool, talk-sung vocals echoing Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, before erupting into a chorus of well-crafted noise. Towards the end, the drums pick up the pace building to a wild crescendo, escalated by an erratic saxophone and hypnotic guitar parts. Drahla take 'Faux Text' to the edge of chaos but keep it under control, leaving you wanting more from the exciting newcomers. No doubt their live show will be just as exhilarating.
